Speaker Presentation
7:00pm  Has God Indeed Said—?

Learn about the day-age theory; progressive creation; theistic evolution; gap theory; framework hypothesis.  First will be an assessment of relevant Scripture, and then an overview of some of the so-called science that old-earthers use to support their view.  This will include biological evolution, geology and fossils, distant star light and the Big Bang, radiometric dating, dinosaurs, and lake deposits and layers of ice.

About our speaker:

Paul Weiland was raised in a Christian home and believed God created the world. As he heard about Darwin’s idea of evolution, he became a theistic evolutionist, i.e. one who thinks God used evolution to create. Entering college as a theistic evolutionist, the biological science courses he took were geared to teaching evolution and/or just assumed it was true. It wasn’t long before Paul discovered that Darwinian Evolution, although cloaked with scientific terminology, really was not science but just speculation, a made up story about the past

“but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence”
