Biography:

Jim grew up as a passive believer in evolution, and assumed it must somehow fit with the Bible.  After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 1972, he attended an Officers’ Christian Fellowship Bible study while stationed at Hill AFB, Utah.  At one lesson, the leader challenged him on the conflict between evolution and the Genesis account of creation.  Jim then read Henry Morris’ Scientific Creationism and was stunned, and then began reading minutes from Creation Research Society symposiums and other creation literature.  The Air Force sent Jim back to school where he earned an M.S. in PhotoScience and Instrumentation in 1983.  Jim managed Research and Development-type contracts for the Air Force–and later, managed organizations that dealt with “researchy” kinds of issues and advanced technologies until retiring from the Air Force in 2002.  He then began working as a technical and management consultant to the Department of Defense for a major contractor until retiring in 2016.  Jim is a voting member of the Creation Research Society.
