From MAC Zoo Day, 2018

Animals discussed are in the River’s Edge area, so be sure to tour it on your trip!  If you plan to visit the zoo after the 9:00 or 11:00 church session (or before the 11:00), please make reservations for your time at the zoo.  Rules may change, but at the time of this writing slots become available 7 days prior, at 7am.

This event is hosted by Missouri Association for Creation

  • Learn about the amazing design features of God’s creatures from MAC speakers, and see those animals up close at the Zoo. Special presentations on the following animals:
Hippopotamus, Cheetah, Painted Dogs, Andean and Sun Bears,
Asian Elephant, Black Rhino, and Freshwater Fish
  • Receive a colorful, informational booklet on the animals, with “fill-in the blanks” from the speaker’s presentation. These are great for later family discussions.
  • For each animal, a speaker will give a 10 minute presentation about that animal emphasizing the remarkable design by our awesome Creator.
  • Ask the speakers questions about these animals, or anything else about how God created our world and us.

What to Expect:

You will receive a colorful, informational booklet on the animals, with “fill-in the blanks” from the speaker’s presentation – great for later family discussions.
While it is unfortunate that the Spring 2020 event was cancelled and that the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 events cannot be held in our usual manner at the Zoo, along with every challenge comes new opportunities.  This presentation will allow us to share more information in pictures and film clips about God’s creation, and speakers will not be drowned out by trumpeting elephants!  Families will also have more freedom at the zoo to explore at their pace and at chosen times.

To Sign Up:

Please sign-up with your homeschool group coordinator**, and include the following information:
  1. Family name
  2. Name of homeschool group (if any, so we can put you together)

** If you do not have a homeschool group coordinator, would you like to be one? Let me know. Or individual families can send an e-mail to for registration or for more information.

  • Masks or face coverings are required at the church upon entrance up until your family is seated, for everyone 9 years old and up.
  • Masks or face coverings are required at the zoo for everyone 9 years old and up. There is a “mask free” zone half-way through the River’s Edge area.

MAC Speakers from 2018

We are thrilled to be serving you again and would appreciate your prayers for good weather and that this event would glorify our awesome Creator, loving Redeemer, and all-powerful King.

“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10 (ESV)
